Any antibiotic is prone to become resistant on excessive use. There are very few new antibiotics on the pipeline. We are already at the verge of ‘post-antibiotic era’ where common bacteria become resistant to frequently used antibiotics. The consequences WILL BE DISASTROUS!
We shall need to use antibiotics wisely as a precious resources on earth to delay the speed of antibiotic resistance development.
